I spent somewhere close to 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic. Thanks to that "past life", I have had some anxiety related sleep issues. I used to feel lucky if I slept more than about 4 hours a night. After being diagnosed with sleep apnea, and with the help of sleep aids, a "really good" night of sleep became 6 hours.

On top of this, add an extensive family history of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and I was behind the 8-ball with my health. I have always been active and managed to stay relatively fit, but as I approached 40 the workouts became shorter and recovery time longer. Also, my belly got bigger.

In August of 2008, I had my yearly physical and was told that my cholesterol was at 240 and my time was up. It was time for drugs. I pleaded with my doctor for another 6 months so I could "get serious" about it. He gave me 30 days.

On September 15, 2008, I started the 5-day RESET program. During those 5 days, I lost 10 pounds.

Another 4 dropped the following week. I continued with 2 shakes and a meal each day during the week and just tried to be "smart" on the weekend.

The surprise change? On the night of day 4 of RESET, I had 3 of the best, most incredible dreams I have ever had. What's the big deal?? I have not had more than a couple of dreams a YEAR in probably more than 10 years!
